The Invitation

The Invitation It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love for your dream for the adventure of being alive. It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon... I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful to be realistic to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes.” It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children. It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

I recently finished the book Zero limits by Joe Vitale & Dr. Ken Len revel the secrets of the ancient Hawaiian heeling technique of Ho’oponopono. I found this book very interesting because the message I got is when I focus my thoughts and emotions into positive loving place through the Hawaiian technique, I bring myself into a place of zero limits. In this place of zero limits I not only change but everyone around me automatically changes too. I was impressed by Joe’s honesty. Even thou he had programmed his mind a certain way; he too saw the benefits of shifting to this self loving place brought more abundance into his life. I have been applying what I’ve learned from this gem and I can’t tell you how my life is changing. Now I love, loving myself. C. Hall

You Can Heal Your life

I was recently going through a bad time where everything in my life was crumbling down where I thought for sure I was having a nervous breakdown. One night during a meltdown, I confided in a friend that my life was falling apart and didn’t know what to do. She mentioned this book by Louise Hay called You Can Heal Your Life. My friend told me that it had helped her so much to heal her childhood wounds and put things into perspective. A book! How’s a book going to help me? Desperate for relief, I would have done anything short of an exorcism, so I picked up the book the next day. Going through the book I thought for sure this woman was in my head and had lived my life. This book really helped me to understand where the negative thoughts came from running through my head and how positive affirmations heal on so many levels. Thanks to my friend and to Louise Hay. You both helped see the light. Thanks for the book club; it really helps you discover all the great info out there

Most people aren’t aware that if you don’t clear the clutter and belief patterns inside your unconscious mind that no matter what one does; your manifesting ability will never reach its full potential. The Key by Joe Vitale is a brilliant read where he outlines wonderful techniques to help you clear the negatively and get cracking. A recommended read for anyone that wants to create a fruitful abundant life.

Same Soul Many Bodies

Dr. Brian Weiss is one of my favourite past life authors. He has written many books outlining the past life process and how going back in past lives helps one to address and solve current life fears and phobias. This book Same Soul, Many Bodies is a wonderful look at progression. In his book Dr. Weiss speaks how going forward in time can help us better understand our present thoughts and actions and how we change our next life cycle buy making those adjustments in this life. Wonderful read, couldn’t put it down.

I just loved this book by Dawnea Adams called Soul Surfing. In her practice she taps into the some of the positive imagination in Hollywood by using inspirational characters and movies to help people discover their ability to release and shift unwanted blocks so they create abundance in their lives. Not sure if it is still in print by Delacort Press. If you can, it's a Great Read!

This was the first of Deepak Chopras books I read. It's in the form of a fictional novel, very funny, whitty and has great messages about the universal laws and how ego plays a huge part in our lives. the book is based around a main character who is by professional status terms, a very successful comedian, but is not feeling happiness in his life and is guided to look at things completely differently. It's a fairly short read and one you won't be able to put down. I read through it in 2 days. .....highly recommend this one.

Fellow book club members,

I recently had the opportunity to read a fabulous book called TheTenth Door by Michele Hébert. Her story was both inspiring and compelling outlining her journey into the depths of her being on her road to inner awareness and enlightenment.  I was captivated by her honesty and her determination to move past her negative human conditioning, see life in its innocents, beauty and glory and deepen her spiritual connection with the help through her Yoga practice.

Need a little inspiration on life’s journey? Pick up The Tenth Door.

In the beginning a soul's existence starts with God's creation of a spark. This light is an infant spirit who travels relentlessly through the course of time on a fantastic voyage of hunting and gathering wisdom and knowledge for the Divine. Each soul is spiritually driven, like a moth to the light, to evolve from infancy to adulthood by exploring every aspect of the human condition by fulfilling its hunger for knowledge through experience. Throughout this tiny spirits quest there are challenges and obstacles that can exhaust and drain its energy to the point of giving up. But divine intervention from Guides and Teachers empower this traveler with love and support nurturing it back on it's wondrous path. Every soul continues gathering strength and courage from the information these experiences teach them. Once completing its spiritual tasks, this precious journeyer will come full circle and unite with its divine creator. These entities I speak of are not characters in a book or figments of the imagination. These are the powerful forces that lie deep with in all of us because we are the ...Souls of the universe.
